What to Expect
A transparent, day-by-day look at what a real painting project looks like.
What Happens
on Each Day
This is a typical interior project. Exterior projects follow the same logic — prep, prime, paint, inspect. Timeline varies by square footage and complexity.
Day 1
Prep Day
Our Work
Our crew arrives at the agreed time. Furniture is moved or covered, floors protected, surfaces taped. Holes patched, stucco repaired, sanding done. On larger projects, Day 1 may be entirely prep — no paint touches the walls. This is normal and important.
Your Role
Clear the areas being painted. Move small valuables. Your home will be accessible throughout.
Day 2
Prime & First Coat
Our Work
Primer applied to any repaired, bare, or problem areas. Once dry, the first full coat of paint is applied. You will start to see the color transform — though coverage may look uneven at this stage. This is expected.
Your Role
You may have limited access to some rooms. We leave pathways clear. Slight paint smell is normal.
Day 3+
Second Coat
Our Work
The second coat is applied after the first is fully dry — typically 24 hours minimum. This is where the finished look appears. Coverage becomes even, colors saturate, and any thin spots from coat one are addressed.
Your Role
Keep windows open if comfortable. The drying process benefits from ventilation.
Final Day
Touch-Up & Walk-Through
Our Work
We review every painted surface ourselves before calling you for a walk-through. You inspect alongside our project manager. Any touch-ups needed are done on the spot. You sign off only when you are satisfied.
Your Role
Take your time during the walk-through. Look at every surface in different lighting. Your approval ends the job.
How We Communicate
You should never have to wonder what is happening with your project. Here is our communication process from first contact to completion.
Estimate Request
Same Day Response
We respond to every estimate request the same business day — usually within a few hours. You will receive a call to schedule your free in-person evaluation.
Before the Project
Confirmed Schedule
48 hours before start, you receive a confirmation call/text with the arrival time, crew size, and a final review of the scope of work.
During the Project
Daily Check-In
Our project manager is on-site each day. You can ask questions at any time. If something unexpected comes up, you are notified immediately — before any additional work is done.
Project Completion
Walk-Through & Invoice
We walk through together, confirm your satisfaction, and then — and only then — do we provide the final invoice. Payment is due upon completion, not before.
Three Real Client Scenarios
Different project types feel different. Here is what three common situations look like from start to finish.
Bedroom Refresh
2 bedrooms, same color, touch-up trim
"They moved our furniture, painted everything, and left without a drop on the carpet. Day 2 we were sleeping in a brand-new feeling room."
Full Exterior Repaint
2,200 sqft stucco exterior + block walls
"They power washed Monday, repaired Tuesday, and painted Wednesday and Thursday. Friday morning our neighbors thought we had moved."
Kitchen Cabinet Transformation
42 cabinet doors + frames, white to navy
"Every door was removed, painted off-site in their shop, and reinstalled with perfect alignment. Best money we ever spent on the house."
